Big Brother spent its 1,000th episode promising fans they would have to wait until Sunday to learn what happened inside the house.

The chaos began at the end of the show’s historic 1,000th episode Thursday.

Host Julie Chen Moonves announced that the remaining houseguests were being transported—at least thematically—to the year 1000 as part of Season 28’s time-travel concept.

For the twist, several familiar parts of the game disappeared.

No Veto competition.

No BB Blockbuster.

But somebody would still be eliminated before the next live eviction.

Big Brother Legends Returned to Run the Chaos

Former players Britney Haynes, Tiffany Mitchell, Cody Calafiore and Keanu Soto appeared in royal costumes as part of the medieval setup.

The remaining players had to survive a sequence of events hosted by the returning veterans.

Chen Moonves originally told viewers the live feeds would remain unavailable for three days and return only after Sunday’s televised episode.
